The tax is a key source of revenue for civic amenities such as sanitation, water supply, road maintenance, and waste management. Every property owner in Warangal pays GWMC property tax annually as per municipal regulations.

The GWMC property tax is computed based on several factors, including:

  • Property Type: Residential, commercial, or vacant land.
  • Location: The tax rate varies based on the area.
  • Built-Up Area: The total covered area of the property.
  • Annual Rental Value (ARV): The estimated rental income a property can generate.
  • Usage Type: Self-occupied or rented properties have different tax rates.
