Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana List

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was launched in 2015 as an initiative by the Government of India to extend affordable housing for the urban and rural poor. The scheme aims to build approximately 2 crore pucca houses for sustainable living with the necessary amenities. Eligible individuals can apply for benefits under this scheme through its various components, and check for their beneficiary selection via the PMAY list release.

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana list for 2021 has already been released, carrying the names of selected individuals/households who would receive subsidy benefits for house purchase or construction.

PMAY List Overview

PMAY applicants can access the PM Awas Yojana list hosted on the scheme’s official website to confirm their qualification for scheme benefits. To do so, they must be aware of several essential details and access the list conveniently.

The PMAY scheme operates through its two primary segments, PMAY-U or the Urban component and PMAY-G or the Gramin/Rural component. While benefits under these segments differ, their beneficiary selection process is remarkably different too along with the Pradhan Mantri Yojana list declaration.

Eligible Income Groups for Beneficiary Selection

The following income groups and other eligible candidatures qualify for beneficiary selection to the Pradhan Mantri Awas list.

  • Scheduled Castes and Tribes
  • Women
  • Households qualifying for MIG-I and MIG-II CLSS categories with a maximum annual income of the family not exceeding Rs.12 lakh and Rs.18 lakh respectively.
  • Households identified as LIG category with annual household income under Rs.6 lakh.
  • EWS category households with annual family income within Rs.3 lakh.

In some cases, the subsidy rates also serve as parameters for beneficiary selection of the PMAY list. These categorisations only indicate qualification for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin list and Urban list and do not represent eligibility criteria.
